Lowered SCREW by Belltech
Lowered SCREW by Belltech
Good morning to all. I wanted to let everyone know about my install this weekend of the Belltech 2/4 drop kit on my 2001 SCrew.
First let me start by the good points. Belltech products are really nice. They seem to fit with you issues what so ever. The front end, which I just replaced the springs and also put on the alignment adjusters and the Active Nitro shocks, took at the most 2 hours tops. Very easy install. I would recommend this product to anyone.
Now to the bad. The Rear install I was not prepared for. Although all the products by Belltech were good, The instructions were lacking. It was pretty much self explanatory. But the quality of pictures sucked.
The front hangers were a BIT#H to get off. The instructions said "Get a die grinder and cut a slit in it, then chisle off the rest" BULL****. I had to pay a guy to bring a torch out and cut those rivets out. The concern was tremendous due to the fact of it being right beside the gas tank. After this headache was done, the install was rather simple.
However the shims that they provided, the instructions said to put these in backwards. I came to the web site that night and found out the right way to put it in.
So, product gets a thumbs up, but the instructions leave something to be desired. I did this install by myself with no help and no air and it took all day. So be prepared before doing the install.
Anyhow, I just wanted to let everyone know.

Running boards
No I didnt have any running boards on it. My wife didn't agree with the truck until last night when I finally put the nose on it. I had waited so the alignment shop would not monkey it up before I got good pics of it.
I plan on updateing the gallery today and also putting all the mods on a list.
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Almost done!!!!
Nice truck! Where did you purchase the lightning bumper cover from, ford dealer or aftermarket? How much? Thanks.
