Talking MAC Cold Air Induction

OK.. I know this is on the Screw pastings, but I have a Screw. Has anyone bought a Cold Air Inductions System for a Screw? I ordered one but it is on backorder and I am thinking about cancelling the order. Can someone give me an idea if it is worth it. I know that they have made the systems for Mustangs and that people like them. Any help?

Thanks,

Will

I ordered the Cold Air Induction System for the 4.6 L V8. It is like the K & N FIPK or Air Force One.

I received the MAC kit last night and installed it. Quite possibly the worst directions I have ever read. If you did not know about engines you would be completely lost. Had to use existing hose and remove a elbow "flowbox" to get it to fit. The instructions only had 8 steps and 4 of them were to take the existing airbox off! They need to work on their labeling and instructions or they won't be selling many more MAC kits. As to performance...I could feel a little this morning but will have to wait until after work to really test it. It looks great and can't be beat for the money if you know what you are doing.

Thumbs up Volant!!!

I have had just about one of everything in this department. K&N, AirRaid, and some custom home made setups. You really need to take a look at the Volant system with the cold air box. Excellent fit and finish and good instructions. It cost a little more but I think it's worth it given my past experiences. Just .02.

I bought it directly from MAC. (800) 367-4486 for $139.50. It seems to sound better and I have now noticed an improvement in horses.

I bought the Airforce One and to tell you the truth, I really can't tell the difference. The G-tech did not show it either. If it picked up on hp then I'm guessing it lost a little torque. Its definately louder. It did come with everything that replaced the entire air induction system. Did not use any of the factory except the Mass air meter.
