Cool The radiator issue: enuff already!

Got my check from ford and I'm cashing it tommorrow. Just got back from Disney World and pulled trailer and not a glitch to be found. The rad works just fine, and the truck is a breeze to drive. 767 miles round trip and no problemos. So put this to bed. OUT LATE BD:o "IF IT A'INT BROKE DON'T FIX IT"

NO PROBLEMS WITH OVERHEATING AT ALL. I HAVE A GENERATION 1 SUPERCREW. OPTION 3 ON THE RADIATOR OPTION SHEET REQUIRES A TRIP TO "DEALERSHIP LAND" WHERE ANYTHING IS POSIBLE.....NO THANKS....!:o

Hi Nick & Big Daddy

Dont recall anyone saying their rads. were overheating...

As i recall most seem to think they werent getting what they paid for.

Just curious...did you get radiator you paid for?

Interesting all the replies to this issue!

Like I said before OLD FART "if it ain't broke why f--k with it you dumb ***. Why would anybody bring their vehicle to a dealership for anything besides warranty work is beyond my beliefs. Anything will and can happen once the monkeys start messing with your truck. Just my 2cents worth. Yes I got exactly what I paid for and then some. good buddy-NOT.

Hey Big Daddy Whiteboy,

I got a truck for sale you'll probably want to buy:
Price $25000
2002 F150 SuperCrew Harley

F-100 badging on exterior
Rust spots (I am sure it is just surface rust cause its brand new, how do I know that? It only has 3,423 miles on the odometer!)
Blown 5.4L Triton v8 starts right up every time (just gotta pop the hood and spray ether in the carburator (but I am sure its a 5.4 Triton engine, says so right next to "SuperCharged" on the paper taped to the air filter cover)
4x4 (it gets stuck in rain puddles but I am sure it is 4x4, I mean, it has four tires, its gotta be 4x4)

The gas mileage is great too... those Triton engines.... 47mpg... its awesome.

Mint condition... Its a steal for $25000.

Interested??????

AS A SENIOR MEMBER I ONLY POST WHEN I THINK IT MAY HELP... ALTHOUGH MY EARLIER POST ON THIS TOPIC WAS IN RESPONSE TO THE CHECK I RECEIVED ,IT RELATES TO THE OVERALL PERFORMANACE OF MY SUPERCREW. I HAVE NOT EXPERIANCED ANY ILL EFFECTS FROM THE RADIATOR IN MY SUPERCREW. I HAVE,, HOWEVER ,,, SUFFERED FROM THE ILL EFFECTS OF "DEALERSHIP LAND" A PLACE WHERE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE... SIMILAR TO DISNEYWORLD... ALTHOUGH I DONT HAVE THE SAME BURNING IN MY BELLY THAT OTHERS HAVE ON THIS ISSUE,, I RECCOMMEND USING GOOD JUDGEMENT AND EXPERIANCE WITH DEALERS WHO WORK ON MY TRUCK. IN MY CASE I CHOOSE THE CHECK OVER PROVING A POINT.. ENJOY YOUR SUPERCREW. AND BEWARE OF FACTORY PROGRAMS ASKING DEALERS TO HELP..!

Old Fart you must really think you got screwed huh. Well if thats what you feel just get rid of it before it causes you anymore pain. Hell I'll take your 100.00 if you don't want it. My truck is exactly what I ordered and paid for if yours isn't quit crying and do something besides whinning on and on about a simple misprint. If mine fails I'll just bring it in and say hey monkey put it back together. Would you like a little cheese with that whine? and for the other losers that got taken. If you have that much chit wrong with yours I got some land in south La. i will sell you real cheap. Boy you need to talk to an attorney.late . out. BD

Big Daddy:
I sense a lot of hostility .... or have you been exposed to something (nasty) in the lab ????
I agree with you re. the supercrew/ radiator, but .... give everyone a break ... especially given everything else going on in the world .... it's really a minor issue.
BTW ... enjoyed your previous posts regarding towing ... nice job !!!

Cashed my Check!

I received the check and cashed it. My Screw has had no problems towing. I think Ford has done a pretty good job with trying to satisfy everyone. They could have just said it was a mistake in the printing and done nothing.

No complaints here. I wonder how many people that are endlessly complaining never make a mistake in their jobs. When you do, does your business/company go to the extent Ford has in satisfying customers?

Ford may not be perfect but in my experienec they have done better than 99% of the companies out there in taking care of this problem.

I'll take the radiator

I think Big Daddy has every right to cash his check, buy some Pearl beer, pick up his sister for a date and then fill up the truck to go the tractor pull, however some of us would like to get the radiator that was specified when we bought the truck. I'm sure BD's passion regarding this issue is most certainly linked to his rearing...if you know what I mean. Anyone who has to resort to words that are four letters or less speaks volumes and doesn't even know it.

What really makes sense is that he is tired of hearing about it, yet started this thread? Stir the pot, Stir the pot, Stir the pot...

My thoughts exactly. As I read each post I thought that same thing and then you said it.

WHO STARTED THIS THREAD IN THE FIRST DAMN PLACE?

I have not even gotten into this rad issue and know very little about it other than Ford put out the wrong ones. However, I see both sides of the fence and am happy that I live in a place where one can have his own damn opinion. I dont think anyones wrong for wanting it fixed even though the truck most likely wont fall apart without it, and I think it's fine that others are happy w/ a check. More power to all of you. Why get all sideways about the thing? If we dont want to discuss it, and were tired of it, and we dont want anyone else's opinion....... THEN QUIT POSTING!

For the record, in regards to Daddys sig, I like my candyassed two tone paint real well. I think it adds alot to the truck.
