SuperCrew weight?
Hey H13,
Check out this link:
http://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/...001/f150cd.pdf
Go to page 28 and look at the bottom right and it shows the total weight as well as the GVWR, yes that's an acronym for Gross Vehcle Rate Rating so don't get alarmed
.
Enjoy!
Hey Jr,
Pretty good guess or were you reading the same document or something similar?

Uh oh, I can't handle those 4 lettered acronyms.
I was thinking in the 5000 lb neighborhood to begin with
6750 - 700 bed payload - 5 pax at 170~200 range = apx. 5000

I looked there first but it only shows the Front and Rear GAWR and the GVWR and not the Basic Empty Weight.
I attached my label from the driver's side door. This is the best angle I could get on it. I deleted only the Vin # and bar code.
If it is on this label let me know.
Thanks

Hey H,
Look at the last column on the data specs in the link I provided on page 28 at the lower right hand corner. It shows the empty weight there. I thought for sure you'd find it there or am I wrong and that's not what you needed?
Look again 'cause I think it is the correct number, it states 5077 lbs if your GVWR is 6750 and 4994 if your GVWR is 6500. Hope this is helpful.

Autostats is a program I have that lists the stats of nearly every vehicle ever made. It lists the curb weight as of the '01 screw 4x4 as 4914 lbs. Curb weight is measured with all fluids at full. It also lists gross vehicle weight as 6500 lbs.
dcovell,
That weight sounds about right. That 333 lbs is why they take 300Lbs off the towing capacity off a 4x4 compared to a 2x4.
So can I draw some conclusions:
I have a towing package with the 5.4 and gives me the 6600lb
gross. Minus 4581 lb for the 2x4 truck and I have a carrying capacity of 2019lb.
2000LB sounds a little high but the other numbers sound right.

Guy/Gals,
I guess the weight info from the manufacturer is not what people want to see or hear.

After posting a link to the actual numbers that have been tested, verified and documented by Ford folks still go on with their own theories and independent sources. If Ford is wrong on their own vehicle specs, then who can you believe?
Ford states on page 28 of the provided document above exactly what each truck with each different body styles and engine and engine combination weights and the answer is still varying.
Sounds to me like the only way to settle this is to take the truck to a scale and weight the sucker. But then again, some will doubt the accuracy of the scale so..........Maybe it depends on whether there is a full moon or not
There's always going to be a certain amount of error in everyone's answer due to exact truck contents and tolerances in material weights so........who cares, just weight it!

SuperCrew with 2x4
GVWR (lbs.) Front (lbs.) Rear (lbs.) Total (lbs.)
6350 2643 2001 4644
6600 2680 2045 4725
SuperCrew with 4x4
GVWR (lbs.) Front (lbs.) Rear (lbs.) Total (lbs.)
6500 2915 2079 4994

Just say "Mess with me and I will run you down with my truck 5000 pound truck!!!!"
By the way the 4x4 SuperCrew with the 6750 GVWR is the heaviest F-150!
