New owner of a 2001 Supercrew. I have the 4.6 L v-8 and I new at the modification world. Any help would be great. I would like to now where to start. Plus what type of exhaust would be best. Need more power .Thanks

 

Exhaust was one of the first mods i did on my supercrew. The guy planned on going with a muffler like flowmaster, but half way through the install i noticed that wasnt gonna happen. He chopped off the stock muffler and then ran a u pipe with duals out. I wondered that that might be alittle to loud, but when i fired it up, man did i fall in love.

As for power gain....Not alot i'll add.

 

Drop a few hundred bones and get the FIPK. You can get the AIRAID or the K&N FIPK. They both use the K&N filter but the AIRAID uses a (in some peoples opinion) a nicer pipe than the K&N model.

I have the K&N FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) and it made a very noticable diffrence. Especially with the cat-back.

Also for a few more bones you can get the Super Chip and that is truley a kick in the pants upgrade but you will need the higher octane.

 

Got it . Thanks . I believe I will first get the chip first . Question is , which next , the cat back or the FIPK ? Limited budget , must do each upgrade one at a time. Any input is greatly apprch.
