Well guys and gals I dumped my 99 L for a 2002 True Blue\Arizona Beige Lariat FX4 Screw and I love it. I love both trucks but the Screw is more practical. The L had a host of little irritating problems and @ only 18k miles (inner coolers (2), transmissions (2), coil packs ) that I didn't want to deal with down the road on my dime. Not to mention tires (6) rears LOL and the 9-10 MPG using 93 gas. So I dumped it before the warranty ran out. Maybe down the road I'll pick one up. Besides with this financing war along with the EAA X-Plan thing I dropped my note by $50.00 a month and got a 5 year 85k mile warranty to boot. What kind of mileage should I expect with 3.55 gears in this thing.

MINE 4X4 ORP GETS AROUND 13 - 14 IN TOWN; 15 TO 16 ON THE ROAD. IT DEPENDS A LOT ON YOUR HIGHWAY SPEED. BETTER AT SPEEDS BELOW 78 MPH!

ENJOY IT.

I'm of the lead footer breed so I get crappy mileage around 13. I do a lot of freeway and a good amount of city. But our highways can be really bad a lot here in San Diego.

I have the 5.4 with a bunch of mods too. You can get a decent mileage out of them by takning it easy, but if your coming from a Lighting then you may as well guess about 13MPG with your taste for speed.

Well. that explains it...You mean I can go less that 78 MPH? I didn't even think my cruise control worked if it was set under 80
