Will the Screw value increase because of '03 redesign?

So we have the '01 and '02 SuperCrews. Next year the F-150 will be redesigned, does that mean our Screws are somewhat limited edition? I know a good deal of them were built, but 2 years for a one design isn't that long. If so, what does that mean for the value of our trucks in the future?

Sorry to tell you

But as far as I can tell a redesign usually pushes the previous generation's resale value down, not up.

maybe 20-30 years from now, yes, but for awhile your truck will not be as valuble as the 03 models

Yeah, I was thinking 20-30 years down the road. I think to be able to say that you own the first model SuperCrew ever made, would be worth a little something.

anyone know how radical the design change will be??

Is it just a few minor body changes or complete different look?

Will the entire f150 lineup get revised at once, or will it be staged, similar to the 2002 explorer?

Seems odd that they'd change the screw so quickly...

I think simply for financial reasons, that they would change the whole line up. It would be cheaper/easier to manufacture the same model. Besides, an F-150 is an F-150, they'll always look the same whether its a regular cab, supercab, harley-davidson, etc.

Well, I guess it all depends on if the re-design is ugly or not. If they go and pull a GM, which are butt ugly, then our screws could be worth a premium.

Question Hate to rain on the parade...

But they made something like 750,000 F150s per year in 1998, 99, and 2000-- it's been the best selling vehicle for years.

Unless you have a limited edition (Harley, Lightening, etc.) it's going to be a long time before we see any appreciation in value.

Oh,.. I would not expect appreciation,.. just not as much depreciation as one would normally see if the new vehicle is attractive.
