xplan qualification???

Just curious... did you have to do anything special to qualify for the X plan? Or did the dealer just offer it to you upon requesting the x price?

I followed the advice given here in this forum. Try a search on "xplan" in this forum.
I received an email from Ford stating "Welcome To The Xplan" and it contained my pin number. I printed it out and handed to the dealer when I ordered the truck. He showed me the xplan pricing without needing the pin, only asked for my pin when I ordered. I handed him the email and it was done.

I used the X-plan to buy my truck for $300 below invoice. I always thought that you had to work for certain companies in order to qualify.

RM,

So did you have to get a pin number like Lostpup did? If so, how did you get it?

Actually X-Plan is supposed to be for employees of Ford's suppliers.

I worked at Compaq, and as employees we qualified for the discount. It is a no-hassle way to get anything on the dealer lot for a few hundred bucks below invoice. I'm no longer at Compaq, so unfortunately I won't be able to use it next time, but who cares because I'm keeping the S'crew for life!

I guess Compaq supplied them with computers, so we qualified. We also had a similar discount on GM and Volvo.
