Unhappy Tree Sap on screw

I noticed today tree sap on the roof has hardened on there over the summer and won't come off. Anyone know a good solution or solvant that won't hurt the paint?
Thanks

Blue,

Try a product called Goo Gone. You can get it at Wal Mart. Takes tar/sap/crap right off and won't hurt the paint. It is made for taking off stickers/etc. You can find it in the cleaners section.

We have liquid amber trees in front of our house and they leave brown dotts all over. I use a clay bar to remove them and it works great. You can find it with the waxes and such.
Good Luck!

Goo Gone at Home Depot or Lowes...you'll buy a gallon when you see how well it works...let it soak in for a couple of minutes, wipe clean and rinse with H2o

HTH..

Clay bar, definately clay bar. Takes ANY surface contaminant off the paint without harming it. Leaves the finish soft and silky to the touch.

Oh yeah, Goo Gone will NOT hurt the clear coat.....Not on any new motorcycle or auto I've owned yet anyway

It's citrus based...you'll like it..
