Electronic Climate Control Install on 2001 Gen III ?

Has anyone with a 2001 SCrew tried to replace the existing manual A/C dash controls with a 2002 SCrew Electronic Climate Control Dash Module???

What is the cost of the parts?? Numbers??

I would love to do that mod as well. It shouldn't be too hard. Probably a bit expensive though.

Hey guys,

Seems like it would be fairly easy to find out materials and costs if we could get our hands on a parts manual for the '02 F-150s. I too would like to know the specifics and if it can be done practically. I'm gonna assume that almost no one has had time to do it as of yet, but you never know!

I wonder if the F-150 '01 or '02 parts list is available on CDROM or some type of electronic format? Online or CDROM parts book would be really neat IMO.

The Expeditions have had this for a while, we could probably use the Expy parts as well.

The reason I threw out this request is, My SCrew is replacing a 1988 Thunderbird Sport Coupe (5.0) that came with Electronic Climate Control.

Having had the dash apart on the Tbird the Electronic Climate system seems fairly simple. I miss this option on my 2001 Screw (pur 8/15/01) .

Maybe it is time to visit the parts/ service dept to find out what the diffrences are ....

Hey sc Screw,

Man, I just realized you are almost in my backyard compared to alot of other members. Let me know if you want to try and get a little group together (Of S'Crew Owners) for some sort of an event. I would assume you are a Carolina Fan since you live in Columbia but I'm sure after you read this post I will know, no matter which team you root for.

Daveman,
This is getting off topic, but don't assume someone is a Game**** fan since they live in Columbia. I grew up in Columbia with Orange blood, even though my dad is a USC grad. When it came time for me to go to school, Clemson was the only place I considered...

Trying to get back somewhat to a question you brought up, I'd be in for a SCrew event. I think Truxpo will be in Darlington soon (maybe I'm thinking of the Anderson Truck Jamboree). For being the first Truxpo, it was pretty good last year (except for my sunburn).

I didn't intend on the mascot of my university's archrival team getting asterisked out. Even more reason not to be a GAMEC0CK...

daveman-

What's this "front tie bar cranking" all about? My truck can't start falling behind yours already. Is it just a side to side stance tweak or something more?

Okay logical, you got me again. You gotta stop cathin' me so much, makin' me look silly .

Man, I'm really getting ready to blow this thread and go into an off topic subject, but what the he//, I don't think it really matters.

No, seriously I cranked up the TORSION bars and not the TIE bars. I'm sure you know why I did that, right. If not, it's to level out the truck and to me it looks better that way.

I just was thinking about one thing and wrote something else when editing my profile. I have just edited my profile to fix it. Thanks for the tip. I was driving the other day and it hit me when I recalled reading my profile and seeing that TIE bar wording and said, damn, I need to correct that but "jest" never got 'round "tuit"

Got a ton of other stuff to share but just not here.

What else is cooking up there anyway?

Actually I grew-up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and moved to SC about 11 yrs ago. My Wife is a USC fan and an alum, but I am still partial to the Univ of Miami Hurricanes....

Sorry, But I've Got to go swamped at work....
