Soft tonneau cover
Soft tonneau cover
Soft Bed Cover
Rather than the hard tonneau, we opted for the removeable soft tonneau. This is a Ford part, and it's basically an aluminum frame with the snaps
sliding in channels, and the cover is fixed at the front end. It comes off using a large Allen wrench (provided) which clamps it to the underside of
the bed lip. The cover has the large Harley logo in color on it.
Since we're had it, the plastic fittings which attach the aluminum rails to each other have broken twice. First time it was up forward next to the bed, which I fixed using epoxy and a dremel tool. Last trip the two over the tailgate got broken. I originally thought it was because someone tried to get into the bed but now not so sure. I talked with another SCrew owner
who also had his break.
Anyone else having problems with this cover? Dealer is going to replace it under warranty; meanwhile, I'm using bungee cords to secure the broken rail.
