What Did Your S'Crew Replace?
wow, mine replaced a 98 explorer(bought cause of kids)
which replaced a 91 f250 40,000 miles,
which replaced a 87 f150 33's, 4 in lift, 302 worked to the gills, 10k just in engine work. was a good truck till the guy hit me into a pole and totaled it by bending the cross member and needed a whole new nose
which replaced a 85 f150
which replaced a 80 f150
whch replaced a 82 bronco
wow, thats a lot for me. i'm only driving 11 years. i had a lot of accidents(none my fault) when i was younger. plus offroading and blowing things didn't help. the mind is a terrible thing lol.
I will say this though in the 85 i has a I6 300 engine and i tried killing it for a year couldn't do it. it might be the best engine ford ever made, that's why they stopped making it. i love my supercrew, bought in nov 2000 just getting to 13k miles
bought a 89 f150 just to offroad. if it aint a ford it's nothing.

LariatScrew-
You are either a Ford Exec. who gets a car every 3 months or you must have taken a huge beating trading such new trucks....3 2001's already and the year isn't over.
Just curious.

My '01 F150 Harley replaced '99 Lexus RX300. I got the Lexus in '00 through my brother who's an engineer at Toyota's R&D facility in Ann Arbor, MI. Employees there typically get 1 year lease and turn the vehicles in afterward, and Toyota sales sell those vehicles at a discounted price. The RX300 never gave me a bit of trouble, ran sweet but was a bit underpowered.
I decided to get a new car because the interest rate on the car loan was rather high, and it was basically eating away the discount had. Since my sister-in-law works for Ford and Ford has a generous employee plan as well, I looked there. I traded in my RX300 (and got about what I paid for a year and a half ago), got the A-plan, and picked up my truck 5-12-01. I haven't looked back since! Interior of F150 is decidedly less "plush" but what the heck, it's a truck. Ride is great, and handling is surprisingly good, and the power... No more bogging down trying to pass for me.
I admit, I did get some sideway glances from friends who couldn't see how I could trade "down" from a Lexus to a Ford, ubt what do they know? They all drive rice burners and think it's a l33t (translation: cool) to plunk down $500 in exhaust so their Civic can add 5 HP to its anemic 115 (or whatever). I loved my '95 Mustang GT conv. too.
(interestingly enough, if you look at my car history,I seem to flip-flop between a Ford and Toyota... First a Ford Probe, then Toyota 4Runner, then Ford Mustang, then Lexus RX300, and now Ford F150... Which might tell you my next vehicle will be a Toyota. but no, I got my heart set on a '03 annivreasry edition of F150 Harley.

Replaced my first car/truck, a 1994 F-150 standard cab with the 4.9 inline 6, stick shift. 115,000 miles and it runs like the day I got it! I really love that truck so we decided to keep it in the family instead of selling it.
My 2001 Screw K/R replaced a 1995 F-150 Eddie Bauer Supercab Shortbed. That replaced a 1995 Ranger XLT Ext cab.
I figure that at this rate I should be in an F350 Crewcab Duelly in another 8-10 years.

- 88 Town Car (new - went 200K & still like new)
- 86 Cougar (new)
- 83 Corolla (new)
- 80 Harley Low Rider (new)
- 78 Cutlass
- 60 Chevy
- 76 Ford Elite (new)
- 74 Vega (new - PLEASE don't tell anyone)
- 64 Buick Skylark
- 60 Chevy
- 64 Foreign Ford
- 64 Pontiac something (lasted one day)
- 68 Chevy

I think I had a couple more in here that one of the ex-wives drove, but I didn't count it if it wasn't really driven mostly by me.

Ah... the Vega...
S'CrewLoose & WhiteSCrew,
I'm only 34 but my first car was a '77 Chevy Vega in '83!
Drove it for 6 months until I had enough to buy a '77 Camaro.
Then on to an '85 Firebird in '88.
Then an '89 Toyota 4x4 in '93 (My first 4x4).
Then ordered my first new vehicle, a '95 Chevy Z71 Ext. cab.
Then a new '98 Ford Expedition.
And finally ordered the '01 Supercrew in Feb '01.
Had a few motorcycles in there too, ending with a Honda Shadow that I loved, but gave it up about 6 years ago.
After reading your reply, I tried to catalog my rides, it will take some time as I must be old and can't remeber the exact order. I'll work on it and get back to you.......lol.... I'm 41 and my first car was a 76 Chevy Vega...........
