Question 2002 Screw CD changer

According to Autoweb.com, when you order the 6 disc cd changer, code 91P, it comes mounted behind the driver seat or on the floor instead of in the console (when you order captain's chairs) like last years model. Is this right? How would it mount behind the driver's seat and why would Ford do this?

they would do it so that all the trucks get the same changer mount...bench or bucket/console....makes things easier in the plant. Glad mine is in the console though...very handy to be able to reload it while I drive, drink coffee, try to look down into the sunroof of a prelude with a hottie in it, smoke, talk on the cell phone and eat a cheeseburger all at the same time.
