Question Noise From Front Wheel

Has anybody ever had any noise comming from the front wheels when you are driving? It sounds like the wheel covers are loose....I took it to the dealer and they said it was the idler arm? I have no clue why that would cause it but, they fixed it and it stopped for about 3 weeks...Now it is starting again.....anybody have any ideas????

I'm having similar difficulty, definitely a sound from the driver's side front suspension. Also, it "snaps or clunks" when turning at very slow speed (1-2 MPH) and going over a small bump, like a garage curb.

Thanks for the hint........

I have what sounds like a squeak in the front left, it starts when I hit a slight bump and continues for a few seconds after. It almost sounds like a brake wear bar noise...thats the pitch of it anyways. I am bringing it to the dealer on the 23rd. we'll see. Is this what others hear?

S'CrewLoose,
The noise you hear is more than likely the sway bar C bushings. They probably need a little bit of white lube grease. I had to lube mine after 4000 miles.
Let the dealer do it....under warranty right?

My front end would pop when barely turning the wheel---the idler needed some grease....

ford has also issued a technical service bulletin about squeaky tie-rods...for whatever that is worth.

i was under the impression that bushings don't need lube? am i wrong about this? i don't recall ever having to lube any bushings on other vehicles i've owned.
