Lightbulb Fog Light Bulbs..info needed for Yellow Bulb purch

I have the factory fog lights on my 2001 Supercrew. What bulb is that in there? 55w H3? The same as the old 9145's?

I want to order some aftermarket replacement bulbs (yellow or gold) and don't know which bulbs to order....I just want to replace the color and keep the wattage the same. Here's a link for some specialty bulbs, but don't know if they're the right ones...

also: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/yellowstar_bulbs.asp

Are these what I need?

Thanks much!

From personal experience, stay away from PIAA....VERY overpriced.
Also, suggest you check out this link:http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/info/superwhites/

This guy will clear up the myths on blue and yellow bulbs. he's a bit techy but still not bad.....Rube

Very interesting articles. I gather that yellow bulbs at worst just won'thelp, but I prefer the visibility to other drivers in bad weather, in addition I just think they look better . Thanks for the link...

If I can ever get a chance, I'll pull one of those bulbs and see what they are....

Anyone know off hand what the factory fog light bulbs are? Nomenclature and wattage?

Thanks again...

There was some discussion a few months back about upgrading the fog lights. You can use a 9005 4 bulb system hi-beam bulb in place of the stock bulb. I think it's like 75 watts. you may have to do some minor grinding on the bulb so it will fit your housing. I tried to find the thread but I think it already made it into the bit bucket.

Also, check this link:

I've used them before, very good.
