I had no luck getting my radiator upgraded through my dealer so I thought I would use Ford New Car Survey to voice my concerns.

So I launched into it and detailed out why I was not happy. I did note part numbers and everything. Well yesterday I got back a thank you card from Ford thanking me for buying a Ford and that they are happy that I was pleased with my truck.

Clearly that don't take surveys or there customers seriously.

I ripped my Screw on the survey also. I wanted to know how a $34k+ truck needed to have the roof repainted due to a paint defect before I even took delivery. I received no explanation, just a card in the mail like you thanking for helping Ford improve their processes and quality. Funny thing is, my truck needed repair because the moonroof would not close(stuck open). Dealer ordered a new moonroof motor,emergency priority. Motor came in in 3 days, then service says I needed to make an appointment to get truck repaired. Service then tells me they cannot get the truck in for 11 days! I quickly hung up the phone, drove down to the dealer and after threatening to crash the truck through the front window, they "fit me in" for three days later. Well I received a call from Ford that afternoon asking me how my service was at McCarville Ford. My wife recited the events of the day, the woman on the phone says"they cant do that,I will call them and call you right back!". I am waiting two weeks for the call back from that woman. Look at June 25,2001 issue of BusinessWeek magazine. Front page has Ford on it and a big article on their problems(quality included). If I continue to have problems with this truck, this will be the first and the last Ford I ever own.
