Finally got my $850 SnugLid put on Saturday. Install looked pretty simple, and it looks great....FROM A DISTANCE. Actually, color match and fit is great but this is probably the crapiest paint job I've ever seen. I'm talk'n chips, scratch's, dirt, finger prints and spots on the edges that don't even looked painted. None is real noticeable from a distance and doesn't distract from her looks goin down the road but after spending that much it should be PERFECT!! Talked to the dealer today and they will fix under warranty but not replace unless major structural damage.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same.

No problems with mine at all. If the blemishes were there upon installation I would DEMAND that they replace it!

I had an Action Cover installed on my Harley Davidson F150 and a day later I noticed the painted was chiped by the lock. Went back to the dealer and without any hesitation they said they will order me a new one. If you are not happy get it replaced.

I haven't tried Snug customer service yet, heard they are a pain to deal with. The dealer I purchased from said they wouldn't replace it but offered to repaint. I'll see what they say after I take it back to be examined.

WHY did you ever drive off of the lot with the defective top on it???

I went over mine with a fine tooth comb,
one defect and I would not have taken it.

I actually told them, if the fiberglass was rippled I would not take it. It came in, I was there when it was unboxed, we sat it on the truck and the owner and I went over it, before he installed it.

They wouldn't let me in the shop to watch the install. It had some dust, some glue, never even noticed till I washed it the next day. Live and learn. I did see them unbox and put on from a distance so I know it wasn't the dealers fault.

 

cooper, The reason for your Snuglid dealer not letting or suggesting to return it, is 1 he's not a authorized Snuglid dealer or 2 he has no ***** to have Snuglid take it back and 3 Snuglid makes dealers pay return shipping. So take your pick, it could be all 3..
I posted in another topic on Snuglid and there crappy quality control over the past 1.5 yrs.

I bought a Snugtop Lid and when I recieved it the Dealer installed same and I went and had coffee. When I came back I noticed a ripple in the fiberglas and the color didn't match(I have an Arizona Biege) the color was alot lighter and very little metal flake in it. They sent it back to factory and it has been 5 weeks and still nothing. I am very upset with there customer service and am really sorry I went with them. Hell it only took 3 weeks to get it new.

 

Cooper, sounds like your Snuglid was installed by the dealer in Fullerton. I was not allowed to inspect before installation either, was very unhappy with the poor color match, if not adjusted properly, the metal tongues hit the back of the window molding when opened.
