dbdunn,
I ordered my parts through the local Ford dealer (So. Arizona). Everything I buy from them they've sold to me as "net" on the invoice, not "list". Don't know why, but I'll take a break where I can get it.

bambino,
Different strokes I guess, but where I live there's lots of wide open spaces and when you're out on the highway things can get a little boring sometimes; an oncoming vehicle that does have the DRL's grabs your attention a lot more than one without.
It's just a safety issue for me.

Thumbs up

Thanks again to all who have contributed info on this mod, especially Storm; http://www.voicenet.com/~storm/drl/ (I think he started this off last year - - in search of the right part #'s) and Mikebourg and Skyjet for terrific pictures (what a help !!!). Plugged mine in this morning and zow, pop, bang .... everything works as advertised!! I'm laughing and scratching, telling my wife how cool this is while she just looks at me like I'm nuts !!! It sure takes less to make a man happy than a woman ... but that's a whole different story/ thread.

Great. Now all I have to do is get the parts. Who has found the best price on these parts? What did it cost?

Did the DRL mod to add DRLs.
Everything you need is on this board.
It works exactly as described and only took about 20 minutes. Most difficult part was getting my hands dirty under the truck. Total time: 1/3 beer.

Question

Has anyone (Fedexpilot) figured out a way to wire the lights so the DRls will go off when I switch to parking lights with the ignition on? The DRLs don't allow the cool fog light only mod to work, and I would like to turn off the lights at night sometimes when my engine is running. I know that the new GM cars are set up so the parking light setting will turn off the DRLs. At one time setting the parking brake would also disable them.
I may end up running a toggle from the relay to deactivate them.

I have a 2000 Dodge F150 and need to find where the daytime running light module is. Can anyone help me? I have searched the manual and still can not find it.

Thank you.
