HOW do the DRL and the auto Headlamp Control work together?

"I can leave on the autoheadlamps and they come on just as they should when it gets dark. The only lights that are on during the day are the headlights at a lowered wattage. The headlights and parking lights come on at night at full power just as they did before the DRL upgrade."

Could you see the resistor plug from underneath the vehicle without removing anything??

Does the dash cover just pop off?

On my screw, the resistor plug is plugged into a "dummy" plug that is just a piece of plastic attached to the frame. It is near the fog light plug behind the bumper under the driver's side headlight. I have heard that it may not be there on the Expy. You might have to go looking for it. Follow all of the wires at the headlights and see if they go to a two-wire plug that is not being used. That will most likely be the plug that you need. The dash cover just pops off. Find something small and get an edge pulled up to put your finger underneath. I used my handy pocketknife because - it was in my pocket. Be careful to lift up near each hold down so you don't break anything. It is just held in by tension. Should go smooth and you should be done in minutes.

On your sight where you have question marks for the other plug near the resistor plug, I believe that it is for the fog lights. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I thought that is what that plug was for but I wasn't sure. I just wanted to make sure other people didn't think it was for DRL.

Picked up my 2 parts today after work.
(XL3Z-14A601-AA CNTR & BRKT $44.42 &
YL1Z-13B218-AA $14.30) After another quick look at the pictures on couple of the links here, about 20 minutes and one adult beverage later, my DRLs were working (w/autolamps).
