Post Help with splicing into high beam wire???

Finally got around to wiring up my Piaa's and I'm not sure what wire to splice into. I want to tap into the high beam wire, but where is the best place to do that??
I'd prefer to go under the dash, but if the best place is at the light, then so be it.
Just tell me where!!
Thanks!

Dude, if youre sure you want them linked to the high beams??!!Then use any wire from highbeams, maybe in the fusebox under the hood?? BUT, most importantly use a heavy duty relay and power the lights from the battery..!! You dont want all that juice running thru your headlight switch!!
ps-how do you like the Ravins?? My Screw is just itchin for an exhaust!!

Cool

He's right, only use that source to turn on the relay. Dont' hook the lights to your OEM wiring. I'd just get into the lead to the head lamp and tap it there. Run a small wire from there to the relay, then nice big wires to the battery and lights.

The Piaa's come with an excellent wiring harness, including heavy wires for connecting directly to the battery, relay, and separate fuse. Everything will be wired properly, just wasn't sure where to tap in for the switch. It's recommended, and I agree, that you only have them on when the high beams are on. I'd hate to blind someone because I forgot to turn them off!
Anyway, still not positive where the best spot is... right where the headlight lamp is connected?? Fuse box?? Switch in dash??
And whichever is correct, which wire is it... brown, green, white.. I can't find a schematic anywhere!

Cool

micp125,
Love the Ravin's... maybe a little too much. Can't seem to control my gas mileage because I get on it every so often just to hear them.
