Post Looking for the "lowered look" without the drop

I have a stock 2x2 Crew with 16" wheels. I want to achieve the lowered look without having to modify the suspension. Will 17" or 18" wheels give me that look and if so what tires do I get? Please post pics if you can. I want to maintain the stock ride.

Cool

Some nice running boards/ground effects from wheel to wheel will go a long way to making it look lowered.
