Did you notice any gain from the Helix Power tower? If so, how much?

Thanks,

Wingnut33,

Couldn't really tell you. I put it on shortly after I got the truck so I don't really have anything to base it on. It feels pretty peppy now, but it could be a combination of all the mods. I'm very happy with my truck so far. As long as you can live with a short whistle around 1900 rpm's then it couldn't hurt.

Do you know if this rack will work on an Expedition? It looks like it should. I will do some investigating bec I shaved my roof rack, can't put a hitch (roll pan, I'd have to custom fab something) Putting bikes etc inside just doesn't cut it. Glad I came accross this, my wife was ripping on me for shaveing the roof rack but I said putting 4 bikes etc is not safe on a factory rack.........

Truck is looking good, think the 4X4 crew is going to be my next truck real soon.

Hey guardrail,
Does the mounting clip on the Saris
push the doors out away from the body ?
I have heard that the clips are not a
great fit and that they cause the gap
between the door and body to widen as
it gets closer to the handle side of
the door.

clips do not interfere with doors. Everything is as tight and water tight as it is without the rack mounted.

should work on Expedition as well.

Thanks guardrail.
That puts my mind at ease.
Will be replacing my existing
suction cup load bar with the
Saris to carry my 16' canoe.
I hate the suction cup setup,
it looks like hell and a locking
strap has to be run through the cab.
I got my screw XLT in May 00 and the
suction unit was the only thing on the
market that I could find to work.
You may have already posted this info
but could you confirm what I know about
the Saris unit ?
Model #902 load bars (2 per package)
Model #4 clips
Did you mail order / from where / cost ?
I'll get around to listing all my screw
goodies sooner or later. Do they get listed
as a signature ?
Thanks for the help.

got mine at local bike shop. I get 10% off with them and I wanted someone who knew what they were doing.

I think I used type 3 clips but its been a tear - whatever WWW.SARISPRODUCTS.COM recommends.
