Jingle?
I posted this thread under the "suspension" forum, was wondering if any one else has it.
"Me too! sounds like a washer jingling around
on a loose bolt, somewhere in the front drivers side. Started out as an ocaisional jingle, but is now there constantly.
Have only 5800 miles, will talk to the dealer this week. Maybe they already have a fix for it."

Try taking off your front wheels. I had what sounded like a constant pinging or screeching type sound, but when I took the wheel off I found out otherwise. there is a little metal cover over the spindle held on by a cotter pin. The cotter pin comes loose and the "glue" inside comes off. Try tightening up the cotter pin and should make the problem go away. I'm sure there's a technical term for the part, but I don't know what it is!

It's not a screeching or scraping sound at all. It's more like you are jogging with coins in your pocket. Really strange!

My dealer told me a story one time that he had a customer come in with an unusual sound... after many many hours of trouble-shooting... it turned out to be a glass bottle INSIDE the quarter panel with rocks inside the bottle. Someone at the factory must have 'some' sense of humor...

Mine has the jingle too. It's most noticable on acceleration. I know it has something to do with the steering or front suspension because if you move the steering wheel slightly to the right while accelerating you can hear the jingle go away. Mine has done it since day one. I've got almost 19K on it now and it's not any worse. I've heard others post about it here, so I'm not too concerned. If several of us have it, I figure it's not an isolated thing. Just a quirk.
I remember reading about a rattle in the drivers side door of a top of the line Jaguar several yaers ago. It drove the owner nuts...and finally the door was taken completely apart. Inside was a ball bearing with a small piece of tape attached with writing on it, obvious written by a Jaguar production line employee. It said something to the effect of "hope this drove you crazy, you rich SOB"
What are the chances????????

It sounds like the same problem that I had, after driving around with the manager for 30 minutes he finally heard it. It was the lug covers for the wheels. The inside of the cover has metal clips that latch onto the lug nuts, the were loose.

I have this jingle too. But mine sounds like it is coming from the right rear, and only when the road is not perfectly smooth. It only occurs when the suspension moves with slight bumps on the road. Can be a steady jingle on most roads. Drives me crazy until I turn the radio up. Wish I knew what the hell it is.
rattle solved!
So it turns out my rattle came in the form of a "loose" exhaust bracket. When I say loose, I really mean, dangling and about to fall off.
The bracket is just forward of the muffler. It attaches to the frame of the truck with two bolts. The nuts are accessible in that very tight space between the cab and the bed from above.
Good luck.
