Post Radio features?

Is there a feature like the GM's have with the volume control. Theres are speed sensitive. I think that is a really nice feature, and wish it would be possible to make this work on my 01 screw. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

Cool

RTFM. Read the manual. All of the informaiton about turning on the speed sensitive volume is in the owner's manual.

I read the manual and set it up in less than a minute.

Hey thanks for the reply. My screw is still in the shop getting outfitted with leather. As soon as I get it back I will take a look at it.

I thought this was a great feature in a stock radio and was very excited about it when I was reading my owners manual. But after using it, I can say it sucks. It will definetely be personal preference...do you really want your radio to turn down when you come to a stop light when you are jamming to your favorite tunes? Do you want your radio to get louder when you jump on the highway while talking w/your spouse or anyone for that matter? IMO, useless feature. Now I have an aftermarket HU.

Hou_Screw I can see your point but if you keep the sensitivity low (3 or lower) it does not seem as bad. If it is too sensitive it can be annoying.

I think my setting was 3 by default. After reading an earlier post here I played with it and bumped it up to 5. VERY irritating!
It was like a kid was constantly playing with the volume. A week at the 5 setting will put you in therapy.

One minute I can't hear what Rush Limbaugh is saying, the next he's yelling at me.
All because a light turned green?

I believe you just hold in the volume button for about 4 seconds. The Ford radio has 7 settings. I have a Chevy venture with 3 settings. The Ford Manual suggests not exceeding setting 3 (to start). I think settings 5 through 7 are designed for driving with all of the windows open. They'll really crank it up after about 30 mph.

Memo to Ford...
Leave out the LAME speed sensitive volume control and put in better speakers!

I love this feature. I have mine set at 5. If you don't like it, turn it down to 0.
