If an upgraded radiator is not part of the super engine cooling package what is??? The trans cooler? Every truck I have owned always had the heavy duty tow group which included an upgraded radiator. I dont know about you guys but I havent heard of any radical advancements in radiator technology that would make a skinny 1.02" core cool better...... Have you? It sounds to me like Ford is just trying to get off the hook for a manufacturing mistake on there assembly line. Thanks for all the info tjk but I dont think this is a dead issue yet. I also tow a boat, through the middle of the mojave desert 110 deg. heat. I havent gone yet with my new truck but I feel like I lost my piece of mind knowing I have a big core under the hood.

I disagree with the mis-print. If that WAS the case, then why does my owners manual show 2 different anti-freeze capacities, corresponding to the two different sizes? Anyways, dealer changed mine last week, no problem.

TJK, what do you think the probability is that a larger radiator as part of the package was merely "misprinted" in every single piece of documentation (brochures, the vehicle manuals, technical spec sheets, training materials, the Ford web site, etc.), and has been for several years, including switching which larger radiator is included for 2001, and listing different larger radiator models for different engine sizes? This is not even remotely credible.

tkj, I'll have to disagree with you on what your service mgr says on Mis-Builts. I told my dealer from day 1 (March,9th) that all of what was missing on my 01, was a mis-built truck and he agreed.
As of yesterday, I'm getting all the correct components, that a TP3 is suppose to have and it will be written up as a MIS-BUILT Correction, per Ford Motor CO.
The reason its taking so long is, I've been out of state for the past month.
