Thumbs down Stock rear mudflaps are crapola.....

Just so everyone knows I got the stock molded mudflaps for my Lariat and I don't know if it's the 17' wheels or not, but I get roosters up the side of the truck like I had nothing at all on there. The only caveat I had seen posted here when I ordered mine was a possible clearance problem with the 17's in the front- There's no problem there -they fit and work great. But the rears.....Get somethin, else.

I was looking at the factory mudflaps, actually I looked at abut six different versions because the parts guy couldn't figure out the right part#. Anyway, your right, the ones Ford spec'd are way to narrow! The part for the regular F150 were alot wider but the Screw as a little rounder bed so they didn't fit right.

For now I go flapless!

kkirt,
It may be that they're too short- I think that the stuff is gettin thrown up from under the flap. I can sight a line from the dirt under the flap to the wheel. That's why I was wonderin' if with the 16" wheels maybe they stick down proportionally further. I dunno.....

You may want to try the Husky's - they work great IMO. They look like they're wider and taller than the Ford flaps.

Most truck accesory places carry Husky products. The flaps are molded and are designed to fit w/ the flares. They match the rounded lines of the truck really well. If you search the archives, you'll find that their flaps and floor lining come very highly recommended.

I think their website is www.huskyliner.com, though I can't seem to get the link to work right now.

Chris & Xtrucky,
Thanks I'll go check these links out 'preciate it.
XT I don't have a webmail account so I don't wanna list my walkin one and only email on here for now. I went and looked at your truck, pretty cool- reminds me of an old SS Camaro color scheme. These babies look really weird without a bed ,don't they?? From a thing of beauty and harmonious lines to an ugly deformed misfit.....
