I hate to mention this, but I found rust on the roof of my 4 month old truck! While I was washing the truck yesterday, I noticed a rusty spot in one of the grooves immediately above the right rear door. The spot is about 1 1/2 inches long, in a corner near the back end of the groove. My dealer tells me that the top or mostly flat part of the roof is separate from the curved sides just above the doors. The two pieces are welded and a soft "compound" is used to seal the two together. Mine will be fixed in about two weeks, but everyone should check theirs before its too late! Good luck.

I have a few rust spots where the spot weld was applied ... time for some touch up paint. of course mine are inside the door panels but I am gonna catch them before they grow! Either that or pour salt water in it every night and make ford repaint it
