Hello everyone, I am a new member here and would like to ask a couple questions to you new Screw owners.

I am getting ready to purchase a new Screw Lariat 4x4 w/ off Rd pkg, moon roof, 5.4, Locking axles, tow pkg, Sliding Rear Window, Cargo cage, Heated seats, 17'' wheels, 6 disc changer, this is one fine truck. My question is how much is it worth? What price should I be looking at? I have been to Edmunds and Kelly are those figures close?
My Dealer will let me have it for
$ 31,883.00 plus taxes, tags not including the $ 1,000.00 rebate.

What did some of you pay for a similarly equipped Screw?

Last but not least, Is there going to be a body change in the near future? I would hate to buy this one and next year it gets redesigned.

Sounds a little high. Go to http://www.sunrisefordfleet.com/SDguides.htm and click on F-150 below where it says price guides. This will tell you dealer cost, invoice and MSRP for truck and every option. Look at my sig and you will see what I got for $30,250. Granted mine is XLT but has everything including moonroof.

I think there might be a slight front end change with the grill and headlights, but nothing major until 2003 when the entire truck gets redone.

Also, depending on what screws are going for in your area you should not pay above invoice. I payed $400 UNDER invoice and actually had one offer for $500 under but like the dealer I ended up going with better. What I did was went to www.ford.com, put my zip in and found dealers in my area. Then I sent an e-mail with the exact specs for what I wanted. Narrow it down to the two lowest and your favorite (if different) and compete them against one another. I may have been able to haggle some more, but I actually feel that I got a decent deal. I also got them to throw in some new 265/75/16 Michelin LTX M/S for $350, got my lightening lights cheaper than what the online parts retailers were selling them before the price increase, and they said they would throw the factory mud flaps in for free.

I think I got a good deal.

Thanks Scooby14B, those are some good numbers at that site, I think I will try and negotiate a little more for the one I am looking at.

Also, is there going to be a body change anytime in the next year or so for the Screws?
