FYI...I just ordered a set of the Husky mud flaps for my SuperCrew from RoadWorksAuto.com.
I was concerned about the part number for the front flaps since I'd seen two different part numbers. So I called Husky and they said that the correct part number for front flaps with factory running boards and wheel well flares is 56501.
Apparently there was a mixup at one point, so even thought their website lists the part number for these flaps as 56531, they said that this part number is being substituted with the correct part number (56501).
Guess I'll find out for sure soon...I should see them anyday. I'll post pics when I'm done.

Chuck_TX,
I notice that you have an XLT, too. Maybe you can answer a question I've been trying to get answered for quite a while.I've been dying to get molded mudflaps for my SuperCrew, but all of the available ones, either from Ford or Huskyliner, seem to be designed to fit the Lariat WITH the factory fender flares. The XLT, of course, does not have these flares. As far as I can tell, Ford only carries the part numbers you reported and makes no distinction between Lariat and XLT, though based on the pictures I have seen, they seem to be designed for the Lariat. Huskyliner claims they will eventually come out with an XLT mudflap. They even sent me a free rear set of their current mudflaps to see if they fit. They don't. There's a big ugly gap where the fender flare is supposed to be.
So, my question is, are you SURE your's fit? Assuming that you haven't installed them yet, have you held them up against your truck to test the fit??
Just curious,

I know! I know! I sound like a broken record but does anyone have pictures of the full rear view? All of the Ford flaps I tried (and I have tried about a dozen) were either designed for an F150 (our Crews have rounder sides) or were designed for a 2x4 since they were so narrow.

XTRUKY,
Thanks for the info. However, this information is not correct. It's easy to misinterpret because of the confusing way the mudflaps are listed in the Roadworksauto website. If you go to their order page, the two mudflap options for the Supercrew are listed as follows:
w/o factory running boards w/factory wheel well flares
w/ factory running boards w/factory wheel well flares
This means with and without factory running boards, but BOTH options are WITH flares. This is the same way it's listed at the Huskyliners website. A few months back I spoke to the Husky product engineer responsible for mudflaps, and he confirmed that only mudflaps for flares are currently available. He did say they were planning to offer a no flare/XLT version sometime this year, but I dunno when!
Your truck looks pretty cool, by the way!

Autoloadr,
Sorry for the late response. I'm having the flaps installed first thing Friday morning. I was going to mount them myself, but the dealer said they would handle it at no cost so I didn't argue. They stressed that they will fit with no rubbing or gaps for a 4x4 XLT. I guess we'll see tomorrow, and I'll be sure to post pics after the install.

Well my dealer let me down. I took it over and they were about to install them. The service guy came back a few minutes later and said they ordered the wrong ones. The flaps needed to be for F150's with fender flares. Hopefully they will order the correct ones this time.
FedExPilot, you might want to cancel your order. I'll post the correct part number after they install them instead of going by their word.

Finally got the right flaps installed this morning. The front flaps are for 4x4 SCrew's with running boards, which I do NOT have. I have the Westin SS nerfbars, but they look good. So if you have either running boards or nerfbars, these are the correct numbers. Not sure if they are the same for 4x2's. I'll try to post some pics later this weekend. Here are the part numbers:

Chuck_TX,
That's good news for me, especially since I DO have the factory running boards! Since they extend all the way to the wheel well, I was wondering if Ford even made a molded mudflap to fit around them. I'm guessing that there's no issue between 4x4 and 4x2 since the sheetmetal is the same. Thanks for posting the part numbers and I'm looking forward to your photos!

Great pix Chuck;
Received the mud flaps I ordered from www.fordpartsonline.com. I had used the incorrect part #'s and the front flaps did not fit with the factory running boards. Got an immediate response from Rob Carlson at the www.fordpartsonline.com ......
"Just had a talk with Ford cataloging today about very same problem. Ford has made some clarifications to the splash guard listing for 2001 F150's. We have a new number now just for supercrew w/factory running boards, supposed to fit with or without wheel flares. I will get a set on the way to you. I will sent you a UPS label to you to send back the incorrect ones after you receive new ones. Sorry about the screw up.
Thank you
Rob Carlson

Talk about customer service !!!!!
BTW: Any idea what the last two digits in the part #, e.g., YL3Z16A550DA
- - the DA - - indicate? Color ?
Anyway, thanks for the heads up on the incorrect part #'s. Looking forward to installing the "supercrew", front, splash guards.
