anybody lower a supercrew?
If anybody has lowered a Screw please share what you used and how the ride and handleing is after. Pics would be appreciated. Thinking about droping it 2" in front and maybe 3" in rear.
Also does anybody know if the ride height or suspension is any different on a Harley Screw as compared to any other 4X2 Screw. Obviously the wheels and tires are different but is there any other difference. Thanks for any input. Take care,

The Harley specials are lowered an inch under the standard screw. How they did it I don't know, probably just springs. I'd like to drop my 01 HD screw about 1/2 or maybe 2/3. I once heard that they have a Lightening suspension. Don't know about that.
How do we confirm if the suspension on them is the same as a lightning. Anybody out there know. I wonder if they have the bilstien struts like I hear on the 01 lightning. take care,

HarleySupercrew, I lowered my SuperCrew 2"/4". My truck sits level with the drop. I would not advise lowering the front 3" using coils only. Doing so will leave you with less than an 1" of travel. I tried to install drop A-arms for the front but ended up using coils. The SuperCrew A arms are different than Standard or SuperCab F150's A-arms. Using these will not allow you to mount the anti-sway bar correctly. Be sure to change the shocks. My truck rides and handles extremely well for being a truck. Are you planning to install the kit yourself?

Since and HD is already lower than a standard Screw, it looks like the max an HD can get on the front with springs only is maybe another inch. Hard to tell outback. I wish we had torsion bars like the 4wd guys. That would make it easy, on the front anyhow.
After having this truck on the road now for about a month and a little over 2100 miles I have decided not to do anything to the suspension. It rides so great just like it is. At high speads it really feels very stable thru turns. The suspension is just stiff enough to avoid any of the trucky bounce. So I am going to stay stock on the ride height. No need to mess up a good thing, besides a blower is calling for my $ and I need to save up for that....unles market continues to tank and spoil my zest for more fun with this truck....take care,
