Post Need of Radiator / Radio info

Can someone give me the part number to the bigger radiator. I just bought my screw and love it but it also came with the smaller radiator. Has any noticed if anything else was missing from the towing package? Also does anyone have the part number for the new cd player? Will the dealer replace the radio if you just have the old one or do you have to show them that it overheats?

Is there a build date after which the radiator is correct?

Thumbs up

Just to let everyone know. I took my screw to the dealer and told them about the radio issue and they looked it up and saw that ford has a replacement for it and ordered it for my truck. I haven't had any luck with the radiator issue. My dealer is telling me that I have the correct one, but I know they are wrong.

If Ford says it's wrong, maybe they should explain why they keep advertising trailer-tow with the radiator upgrade. This is cut-n-paste from the super-crew build-it application (today) on the fordvehicles website. There is no excuse for them to continue to advertise it when they are charging and not delivering.

I'm waiting for the service manager to call
back. the salesman agrees with me. The service manager is calling into ford to
see. I called back yesterday and there was no word yet. We'll see. If Ford is still openly
advertising it, I think they are risk. When
I visit the dealer next, I am going to check
some non-trailer-tow trucks to see what part
number their radiators have.

Please let me know what you find because you might not be to far from me and if your dealer will do the trade I will go there.

The radio get too hot if you have heater on becuase the heating duct is too close the radio and causes the cd to be either kicked out the radio reads too hot.
The new radio is suppose to have some sort of cooling fan on it to stop this.

Gentlemen

I will be ordering my SCREW within days. Should I include the part# for the correct radiator in my contract to ensure it comes with the upgrade? what else should I lookout for?

I'm confused.

I have the small radiator with my towing package. Part number XL3Z8005DA. The parts man at the dealer said there were two radiators for the 4.6L. One was the number above, the other was YL3Z8005GA. So far this makes sense from other info on this board.

Then he told me that the price on the first one (that I have)to replace was $436.06 but the price on the second (presumably larger) radiator was $415.00 !

Does this make sense or is there any other info. He didn't know from his parts list the size of either radiator.

Hey ya'll,

For this radiator issue, is it only for those trucks with the Towing Package? the one option I didn't get on mine was a towing package. But I notice that my temp guage goes up in a rather short time, I haven't had it on a long trip recently, and am concerned about it. I'd just like to know if this radiator fix is for those with towing packages alone, or if all Screws are included. Thanks.
