Tow Package - More Than Just a Radiator
Under the Engines forum there's a thread about radiators being replaced, etc., for the tow package owners.
I'm concerned, though, by a recent thread that says that a Screw owner not only got the wrong radiator, but the wrong transmission cooler, and no heavy duty shocks, either. If that's the case, we've got a whole new ball of wax, here. We would be talking fraud, plain and simple, if Ford thought we'd be too stupid to notice, and didn't give us anything that we paid for, other than the hitch.
Does anyone know how we can check our shocks and tranny coolers? I'm particularly concerned about the shocks.
Let's get together on this, figure it out, and find a way to put it to rest . . . justly.

I just had my transmission replaced in my Screw (at 2100 miles - I had one of the orange TSB sitckers on the tranny) because of a shudder at 30 mph in traffic (a "whole nuther" story). While talking to the service man about my tow package/radiator question, he noted I didn't have the right radiator. After talking to Ford, he claimed that Ford was going to be coming out with a statement/TSB/recall(?) by the end of April addressing the Tow Package/radiator issue. He also indicated that we probably didn't get the right springs on our towing package. I'll see what happens by the end of the month. He indicated he would work on the radiator in May if nothing came through from Ford.
