Question Fabtech 3.5" Spindle Lift Kit

Okay guys, I have been gone for a while, but I'm back with more questions.
I'm looking at buying the Fabtech 3.5" Spindle Lift Kit to get just a little lift on the 2WD I have and not to have to buy bigger tires or any other modifications. Does this kit work for me, like I said above I do not want to have to buy bigger tires, don't want more to buy other than the kit itself. Has anybody else done anything similar, or the same??
Please write anything back pertaining to this, I did a little searching on our site but could not find the exact details I was looking for. THANX.

it will lift your truck without having to get bigger tires. You wont get much more clearence on the rear end with out bigger tires but that doesnt sound like what your after

Question

MechE,

Your right that is not the purpose for lifting my truck. What I would like is just a couple of inches higher (at least as high as a 4X4), but this is pure for the show, I don't plan to go through the mud or even go of the pavement. It's just that I have never even looked at lift kits and don't want to start something and find out later that there is allot more to it. I read somewhere that buying a lift kit is just a small part of it, is this true. Also do I have to do something with the headlights if I do lift it 3.5"?

Well a good lift kit should come with all the parts you need. Some do not come with new shocks but a alift of 2 to 3 inches can still use stock shocks till they wear out. You may have to get a camber kit for the f150 to realign the front tires, but some kits come with it too.
If you lift the front and rear of the truck the same amount you will not have to re-adjust your headlights but if you lift the truck so the bed sits level you should have them re-adjusted. Many people dont adjust them but it can blind oncoming traffic if you dont. Its illegal to blind oncoming traffic so if you got a cop with the lights he might give you a ticket.

MechE,
Thanx, that is a relieve. The fabtech stated that the kit was complete, so I guess I will just have to hope for the best. I will just take a look at the lights after the lift is in place (I'm a cop myself, so I should have it correctly done). Do you know if a spindle kit changes the ride comfort, I'm actually looking for a smooth ride, and want to make sure that this kit will not make it rough. btw-are you a mechanic yourself? (don't worry I'm not going to stop by and ask for assistance during installation, your a little far from me )

Question

BTW - Does anybody have pictures of a Screw with a 3.5" lift kit? I found a couple of pictures with 6" but not 3.5".
Thanx
