Post are clear corners illegal?

I'd like to put all white corners on my white SCrew but am wondering if I'll get pulled over for them.
I heard here that clear tails were definitely a no-no so I'm going with the Lightnings.
I don't like the little bit of yellow on the Lightning corners, so I was hoping I could still just get all white ones up front.
I'm in California, any officers of the law on this board that can answer?

My guess is that it's probably a law like the window-tinting law. They have it, but don't enforce it.
Look at how many cars there are with clear corners: how can they stop ALL of them?

I spoke with the owner of Billet Specialties in Southern Cal about this last week and he said as long as the lamp has the DOT approval(Dept of Transportation) embossed on it, with the proper colored bulbs, they are legal. Check with your state vehicle code to be sure. I have also read somewhere that a couple of the aftermarket corner lamp manufacturers are doing a recall because NHTSA said their product(s) didn't meet the standards.

unfortunately the lightning corners are the only legal way to go in California at this time... there are a couple law enforcement guys on the board here that have commented that you can get pulled over for the clear ones... but like you said i doubt it's as common as the taillights would be. i just went with the L corners since they look pretty good with the L headlights...

Thumbs up

Although in most, if not all states the cleard corners are legal, the problem is the loss of the amber reflector.

The Lightning's corners are really sharp, and they do have the amber reflector. It's very narrow and runs along the bottom instead of the 50% of the lens the others are.
