Limited Slip Axle ?
I am going to be buying a 5.4 SuperCew XLT with the tow pkg soon and I have a question about the limited slip axle. I have not run across many SCrews in my area (and I have looked around a lot) that spec the limited slip option. Is it included in the Trailer Towing Package?
I currently have a 99 5.4 Supercab with the tow pkg and limited slip and it does a great job on the boat ramp. I was not going to worry about it with the tow-equipped SuperCrew if I could not find one, but a friend recently told me that his F150 without limited slip has problems spinning out on my favorite boat ramp.
Anyone looking for a white 99 SuperCab? $19,400 – really nice.

Redfisher,
I don't think that the limited slip is included in the tow package. Neither my '99, or '00 F-150 4x4 had limited slip, and they both had the tow package. If I were buying a 4x2 and planned on using wet or muddy boat ramps, I would definitely spec. LS.

Thanks for the replies OPIE and whitengray. I talked to a dealer today who said they would find one with my specs-we'll see.
What's the deal with the radiator? Is it something I need to worry about on a the one I will be buying soon?
I think I have that 4r70w tranny in my current truck and it has some interesting quirks. Hard 1-2 shift now and then - can't replicate it for the shop though. Don't have the other problem yet but I do have a door crack!!!
Anything else I need to look out for on the new SCrew?
Even with the problems, I love my F-150. Hope the SCrew hangs in, because I intend tot drive it for a very long time.
Thanks again...
