Will have my recently ordered Borla(14925) installed soon.Dual out the back..w/ Phantom tips.
Will let you know the outcome..from what I've heard, not too loud on idle, yet a nice mild throaty sound on acceleration?

Question

If you buy a muffler online how do you know which one to get? I know I want SI/SO but the pictures have many options, like pipe enter center or right or left side and exit center, right or left. Do you know what I mean? Is it safe just to buy center in/out and have a muffler shop install? Thanks.

Hang on Scooby before you go spending a crazy amount of money on exhaust! I just got my exhaust done and I can't believe how good it sounds. All you do is take the exhaust off at the vibration dampener and run a straight pipe back from there with no muffler... Yep that's it. That's what a lot of people around here do because with the catalytic converters your truck is not very loud even without a muffler. The sound is a deep throaty sound that you almost can't hear inside at speed. At least consider it you can always cut that pipe and put a muffler in it. I paid $20 dollars for mine.(Dad owns the shop) and I did it myself.
You probably won't believe me but you should maybe ask around see what others that run no mufflers think. And if I take 2 clamps off I can put the stock exhaust back on in no time.... Just trying to help.

I agree with Beardoge. Just cut the muffler off. It sounds good, its cheap, and performance is probably even better. I have seen (heard) it on an F150 5.4 and it worked great. Mine's next.
