Question Plowing w/screw?

You guys are such a wealth of info, I need to ask. I know its not recommended in the manual but, Massachusetts has had a ton of snow this year and I am planning for 02'.
If the 150 can do it why not the screw?

Question

Hey Jim, Do I know you? Did you happen to go to Whittier? Class of '78? Knew a few guys from Merrimac back then. Don't know why you can't plow with a Screw. Maybe a heavy duty transmission is needed, or HD front end without auto hubs. I used to plow with a full size Bronco. It had the tightest full size truck turning radius. Not like a Screw. Food for thought.
(Let me know if you remember Ray Melanson)

I've seen 2 guy's around my area that have plow's on the s/crew. So it can be done.
The one guy in my I alway's see & wanted to inquire about it just for the hell of it.
We just usally miss each other in passing.
If I ever run into him at the gas station

Be careful - one guy I heard of who was overheating his engine because he had the normal rather than the Super Cooling radiator was a guy who was plowing. (The Service Manager at Framingham Ford told me about this.)

Actually, I have spoke with 3 area plow dealers and was told the screw's front axle is too light to meet the gross axle weight rating.(GAWR)with a plow installed. One guy recommended a pull behind from Snowman Snowplow (snowmansnowplow.com)
