Post radiator replaced, what about radio?

well the dealer called me back, saying that Ford is claiming that they are not shipping any SCrews with upgraded radiators. but the dealer is going through "other channels" to get the 1.42" part and install it for me. whew.

as for the radio, i am looking into getting an aftermarket head unit, so not sure it's worth going through bugging the dealer to replace the current stock one, although the damn thing gets REAL hot. any ideas on whether aftermarket units will have the same heat problem due to the heat duct location? if I get a single-DIN head unit, maybe i can install some kind of fan or something in the extra space above or below?

thanks,
Wes

I changed out my head unit the day after picking up my SCrew. My last deck was an Alpine with Polk speakers, so I stuck with them and picked up the newer models out. Check out my homepage link and go to the photo section and you'll see my setup. As for the aftermarket overheating, no problems so far. Circuit city placed a slot above my unit so I can have a cd case handy. In your case, you should have enough room to stick a fan there. Goodluck.
