Finally did it and bought last Friday. Lariet with lots of goodies. Have a question about the wheel tire package. I'd like to have the 17" 10 spoke cast-aluminum wheels but my dealer says they're only available on the XLT and only 4x4, not the 4x2 I ordered. Does anyone know if this is true or is it a case of a lazy dealer (due to this forum I knew more about the truck than he did).

Thanks to all that post. I was so close to buying a Dodge Quadcab until I found this forum. Got truck for $100 over invoice which was $3500 more than Dodge, but in the long run probably worth it.

Your dealer is correct. The 17" 10 spoke wheels are not available on the Lariat model. I tried to order the same wheels on my 4x2 Lariat and had the dealer call Ford to verify that it was not an option. I now actually like the chrome wheels more than the 10 spoke. I guess they grow on you.

 

I go mine off the lot and had them switch the crome wheels for the ones you are talking about with a different truck. Dealer was happy to do it. I live on a gravel road and I really didn't care for the look. I really like the 10 spoke rims.
