Angry Water in Taillights

Does anyone else have moisture or water in their taillights after it rains really hard or they was the truck. Also while washing the truck if I spray water at the top of the taillight, dirt and water run out the bottom.

My truck suffers from the same problem, water never dries inside the light and all kinds of junk seeps out during/after washing. I would appreciate any ideas here as well.

I've Got the same problem. I just gave my truck a real thorough wash the other day and noticed water or condensation in the back up light portion of the tail lights. Not sure if it was from the hose spray seeping in from the back, or just condensation. What worries me is, will this eventually cause discoloration of the tailight?
I really hate the way all the dirt and stuff comes from around the tailight. takes forever to comepletely wash the truck.

Yep, I have noticed the same thing with my tail lights when washing them. Doesn't look like they are sealed very good...I wonder if there is a reason for this? Maybe some caulk might to the trick

Thumbs up

I had the same problem with my tail lights. I removed the lights and ran a bead of silicon around the edge, let it cure for an hour and reinstalled the lights. Problem solved.

This has been discussed a couple of times before. You might find something on it with a search. I think your silicon remedy might cause some problems with water not being able to get out of the housing. Take about 10 minutes and undo the two screws that hold in your light. You get at them with your tailgate down, on the box side. You will see your problem with the large holes on the bottom and top of the light housing. I put on mudflaps and made them a little wider with some rubber inside the wheelwell. It stops a lot of the water from shooting up into the light. Just my 2 cents.
