Talking New 18 inch wheels

I just bought new tires and wheels for my screw, and was wondering, how much my speedometer might be off? I put on Eagle Alloys #175 chrome and Falcon 285/60/18 ms performance tires. It raised the truck about 1/2 inch and handles like a indy car now. Looks great, wish I had made the switch sooner. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Don't take my word as I am not a cert.mechanic but I think your speedometer will be little be off since the computer for the motor / transmission / etc are thinking that you are driving the truck with original tire sizes. I have asked around about changing gear ratio, tire sizes.. they say "dont forget to change the computer in your truck to work with whatever changes you want on the truck" .. geez

Hey seamark looks like you got my truck there. Only my truck is the Amazon Green instead. Will be putting pics up soon. I have the 5.4 triton xlt with the av system for the kids on long hauls. Just love the truck and the looks it gets. thanks for the info, I am going to take it to the speedo shop and have them dyno it out and make any corrections.
