Question Help - Need advice/opinions on mods - Wheels, Filter, Exhaust, Perf. chip

Just ordered my SC and need some advice/opinions on a few mods:

Wheels - Planned on going with 16x8 AR Outlaw II's but looking at their page I don't see that option. Also thought about

Outlaw I's but same problem, and they don't seem to be popular on trucks. I had them on a Firebird years ago and loved

the looks. Thought they'd look nice on the truck! Any thoughts??

K&N Filter - was planning on just changing the filter, but can't decide on getting the entire unit. Advice??

Exhaust - Know about the backpressure problem, but want dual exhaust. What's my best options. A local shop said

they can do it adding on some kind of turbo. I want a deep throaty idle... nothing obnoxious.

Performance chip - Which one?? I've seen a couple options... what's the pros & cons?

Thanks for any and all the help you can provide. This site has already been a great source of information.
Dealer claims I should have my Screw by the end of March... but that may be wishful thinking!

I'm not sure what the rims look like that you want, but if you like them get them. It's your truck so you can do what you want with it. I got the sliders from AR and I think they look great. I went with a FIPK from airaid and am really pleased with it. Easy install, great looks and improved performance.

The Ravin Z55 catback exhaust gives that nice throaty rumble, without being too loud. I love it in my SCrew.

Thanks for the help so far!

Hey, mjhind, have you had any problems with the tire size? I assume you haven't lifted the truck at all.

Just installed the Gibson model 9504, dual split system to the rear bumper. WAY TOO QUIET! You cannot hear the truck idle. And barely hear anything when driving. I would not do this one again.

Cool

No problems at all with the bigger tires. The spedo is a little off, but the superchip that I hope to buy should fix that.

Thumbs up

For the Exhaust ( don't rag me about this ) I cut off the muffler and replaced it with a glass pack that was the same length. Ok it was the cheap way out and didn't give me dule tips but I like the way it sounds now. I think the length was 30" and it si very mellosounding unless I have my foot in it which is most of the time. What is this about a back pressure problem?
