Does anyone know if Ford is planning to offer the heavy duty package like in the supercab?If so, anytime soon? I'm planning to order soon but will wait for that one if neccesary.

 

I haven't heard of them planning as such - but in my view it sure would make sense. If $$$$ is no object, you could get the Lincoln Blackwood which is essentially a $50K SuperCrew with the Navigator engine. It can tow up to 8700 lbs according to Edmunds. Only 2 wheel drive available so far.

The 7700lb is already offered in the SuperCrew I think.

I wish it was.Don't confuse the 7700lb 4wd tow rating with the heavy duty package which is 7700 GVWR.The package in the supercab gets you the superduty trans,3.73 rear gear and a host of other good stuff.I think it's about what you got in the F-250 LD which is no longer offered since the 7700 package in the F150 is the basicly the same thing.I can't see the logic in not offering it in the Supercrew.Ford's restrictions on what options and even colors are available on the Supercrew vs. the rest of the F150 line-up confound me.Enough so,that I may even consider a 2500 LT Chevy.The superduty ford is just too ugly IMHO.

 

I am 99% sure they do. At least I have seen posts here from guys who claim to have them. I did a search and couldn't find them though. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so. I have been kicking myself for not having the 7700lb package with my SuperCrew and there must be a reason. It may be one of those things where it's a little known order code you need to get one. Funny it seems that the Ford dealers are pretty much always the last to know about options.

Don't be kicking yourself for not ordering the 7700# payload package because it does not exhist,but I wish it did,because I would have one.If JerryH or anyone else can prove me wrong that would be great,so I can go yell at my friend that sold me my Screw.
When I ordered at beg. of sept. there was none.I've been watching for that option add and have not seen it.
