Window Tinting
I'm thinking about getting my front doors windows tinted. Does any know what percentage of tint is used in the back door windows? Also, if anyone has done this to there SCrew, how do you like it?
I was told 20% when I had my front one's done. Had the front done 35% (Kansas Law)and love it so much, I had my Flareside done. Just do it your'll love it.

In Tx., it is state law that the front windows can not be more than 35%. Don't know about your state. It appeared to be about the same as the rear doors and back window. I had the rear doors and window tinted darker though.

It's 20%. In SC, I was able to match my rear window tint, and the shop
did a great job. I have a black SCrew, so with the black tint on both
windows, the wagon looks just bad as hell. With steps, window visors,
a modest drop , a split rear Borla and 400watts of Thump (when called for),
heads turn. Go ahead and tint according to your state law. There is a website
that lists what you can legally do, but you'll have to check a good search engine
like google.com and find it. Besides looks, tint all around helps the AC in summer and
keeps UV degradation of your fabric to a minimum.

Screwyou-
The law here in Washington is 35%, but I did 20% anyway
Most places will tint it for you, and I figure it is not a big deal until I get pulled over...
Hopefully I can feign ignorance and get around the ticket, but that is the risk I am willing to take.
I love the tint all around, definitely provides a more aggressive look to it.
Good luck.

Tint it whatever you wish. It's not a law that is enforced...
I put 20% on my Lightning, and when I was at the shop talking with the owner, he said the great thing about trucks is that the tint doesn't look as dark. (Why, I dont know...?)

50 percent tint is law here in Virginia. The tint shop I talked too said police are sticklers about it here. You'll get pulled just for illegal tint. The tint guy also said he would tint my truck darker than legal, but would have to charge me more than the standard $40 to do, because he is taking a risk of getting busted too for doing it.
What I don't want, besides a ticket, is tint that doesn't look right vs. the back windows. For those with tint, what are your percentages and what is your opinion about the look?

Alpha: Sorry, bud. I'm unable to post a pic for you. However, do NOT hesitate to tint dem front winders. That simple upgrade made a HUGE difference in the overall general appearance of my wagon. Think "Limo". The 20% is an excellent match and you won't be disappointed. What's more, once you live with it for awhile, particularly in summer, you'll wonder how you ever got along without tint. Be sure to go to a reputable installer and insist on a high quality film. I paid $70 for both windows. With proper care, the tints will hold up for years (NO windex, terry, paper towels). Go for it!!
