2001 Warranty Expanded to include tires
I just opened my mail to find a letter from FORD, letting me know that the tires will now be included in the 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty!!!!!
It will not cover road hazzards (potholes, nails, cuts or tire repair's). I guess this is how Ford is going to track tire problems. They want to hear from us, then go to the maker of the tire. When we went over the papers at the dealer, he told us the tires have there own warranty, so don't bring it to us until you talk with goodyear. I know Ford told Firestone that they had a problem, but we all know the out come of that.
My letter came on 1-12-01, so if you don't have one yet. It should be at your mail box soon.

Got my amendment to the warranty today. Looks like much ado about nothing to me. IMHO it appears this is a bunch of legalese Ford will use to show how they responded to a problem.
10000 miles on my Goodyears, so far so good. I keep them rotated and balanced, plus check the air weekly, so I should not have any problems.
Now if I just had a big ole snow drift to plow through........

Be carefull what you ask for. Over here there
was more than 30" of snow on the ground last month...it sucks. Snow removal from the driveway and walks is back breaking tedious work, I even had to shovel a spot in the yard for my dog to use! It may have been fun to drive thru if I had my new Screw though.
By the way, I did notice that my truck on order is almost identical to yours. Makes me glad to hear that you enjoy it so much.

I agree that with that much on the ground, it can really be a mess.
Here in the mountains of Tennessee, we tend to get about 24-40 inches of the white stuff every year, but usually in 1 to 2" doses. Every now and then we get a big one, but usually just a little.
Hey good job on the truck. It does sound just like mine. It is a real looker. You'll get a lot of comments about it. I could not like mine any better. It is outstanding.
