We're right next door! I surf in Montara quite often.

My extender came installed from the factory.Check out Skyjet's link above. His site shows pictures of the mounting posts. He mentioned " The mounting posts have self tapping threads and is installed with a T-50 torx bit.
Installs in 5 minutes." Key word is self tapping. They should screw right in if the holes are already there. If not you'll have to drill 'em. Good luck! My bed extender has been very useful. I haul my motorcycles all the time using it.

P.S. I'll keep a look-out for ya on highway 1, If you see a guy in a Harvest Gold Screw wavin at it's probably me.
