Extang Cargo Cleats
I purchased two pair of the Extang Cargo Cleats for my SCrew. Due to the bed rail cap, they did not fit. Extang had not heard that there was a problem; they know now. They tried to make one fit, and agreed that it will not. Extang's suggested solution was to remove the bed rail caps. **NOT** a happening thing!
I drilled two holes in the cargo cleats below the reinforced bolt holes, and installed them. They are a bit ugly, as the inside piece hangs down too low and at an angle, but they are solid, and will work until Extang comes up with a better solution.
They should be a useful accessory, as the nautical cleat is much simpler to deal with than tying knots in the stock tie-downs in the bed. Just be aware that they do not fit in the SCrew in their stock configuration with the bed rail caps attached.
