I can't get a straight answer. Is it regional or dealer? Is it a good thing if a dealer moves alot of trucks or not ? Is allocation based on meeting and exceeding minimums thereby becoming the"teachers pet"- or If ford only has so many SCrews they're able to build do they have to spread the wealth around??

For the most complete answer, call your local dealer and ask for the name and phone number of the zone manager in your area. Allocation is based upon a dealers previous sales and forecast in a particular model; or in our case F-150's. I mistakenly negotiated and placed an order with a dealer who had absolutely no SuperCrews on the lot. He didn't meet his promised delivery date of 6-8 weeks so I got the zone manager involved and he helped the dealer find me a truck on another lot for the same deal. The zone manager can also give your vehicle a higher priority at the factory if you cry foul long enough. Don't believe anything your dealer tells you. You will definitely get their attention when you throw out his name a few times. Hope this helps.

 

Thanks, I got the # from the dealer ( but it did feel a little weird- like I 'm goin over their heads for no apparent reason - they've been A-1 thus far) I don't want 'em to put a P>I>T>A tag in my file..... The regional rep or zone guy is on a short
vacation , so I'll have to wait for the answer.
