Well I finally got pictures of my SuperCrew posted to the web. I thought I was finished with updates to it until I stopped by my local truck parts store. More pic's to come.

Nice truck. How did you go about mounting and powering your Valentine?

Thanks, I need to take some newer pictures. I just installed a Lund Moon Visor and a J&J stainless grill insert. ( http://www.j-jent.com/fordgrilles.html )
For power I spliced into the switched power for the compass in the overhead console. Since the Valentine One uses flat telephone wire and RJ-11 connectors I didn't have to drill any holes in the console. It comes with a windshield mount that I mounted to the console so the unit was level. You just slide the V1 unit into the bracket and plug in the cable.
Here are a couple messages from other people that have done it. https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000991.html https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/001081.html

Be careful finding the power wire my wiring was different than Spargo2's. The switched hot wire was the white w/blue tracer and Black was ground in my SCrew. Hope this helps you.

Thanks, glad you like it. I've made some changes to it this past week and I'll post pic's in a couple of weeks. Providing it doesn't snow. One thing I would like to do is drop it 2" in front and 3 in the back. I'm still looking for a drop kit for a 4X4. Maybe next spring.

Love the truck. I just got my ARE lid a few weeks ago and love it. Really helps the overall look of the truck. I like the lines in the lid that match the hood.

Sharp Truck, Nice job!!

2001,
Sorry to make you wait, been in the hospital. Anyway, I like the "chip" my mileage went from 14.5 to 16-17.6 after installation. Depends on how heavy my right foor gets. I put on a Lund Moon Visor and I hate it. It creates alot of wind noise in the cab and has decreased my mpg to 15-16. Really suck's. Big problem in removing it will be the mounting holes in the roof. Since I'm thinking about getting a ram-air hood this next spring I may have the Lund removed, roof repaired and painted the same time I get the hood. Hope this helps.

Question

Did you just add the Infinity's or change the deck, add and amp or sub too?

How's the sound of the separates?

Thanks,

Dubin

Dublin,
I just added the Infinity's. I think they sound awhole lot better than the stock speakers. If I was 30 years younger I probably would have added an amp and sub-woofer.

Cool

Hey Trap Shooter,

How much did you pay for the speakers?

Also, I have a V1 and want to hard-wire it in my Screw. I have a moonroof and small display which has a compass and light on it. There isn't a screw holding it up, so how do I get it down to access the wiring harness? Also, did you use a regular phone cord or the supplied remote display unit with the inline fuse? If so, which did you use for the hot and which for the ground, or doesn't it matter?

Dublin,
Go here and check this tread. https://www.f150online.com/f150board...L/000681.html. There are some pictures on wiring a radar detector and an overhead console for a Moon roof F150. I used the wires supplied by V1. You can makeup some new wiring if you have too.
