I got mine!!!!!
I got back from a business trip in Europe, headed straight for my dealership, and picked up my beautiful new truck on Saturday. I heard it had arrived on Wednesday, so I could hardly wait to get back. I ordered on 8/24 so it took just under 7 weeks to arrive. Not bad considering other reports I've heard on this site.
The red/arizona beige combo is gorgeous and I am very pleased. I'm still trying to get used to the size, however, given that my last car was a volkswagen.
The purchasing process at the dealership went very well. The salesman was terrific and kept his promise of $100 over invoice. Ended up paying 30,514. I learned that the trick to dealing with the finance guy is to walk in and say "I already know that I don't want the extended warranty, perma plate, or alarm upgrade." When he asked why I said "I just don't," so that was the end of discussion. If you don't want a salesperson to counter your objections, don't give them any to work with. (I should know, I'm in sales.) All in all it was a great process.
Now on to selecting a cap and ordering my bedrug.
Good luck to those of you who are still waiting. Hang in there, it's definitely worth it!
